If you’re an entrepreneur, marketer or creative director in the lifestyle industry, stick around. I write copy that gets eyeballs on your brand (and we all know that means more money, data charts pointing up and happy clients).
When I was first starting out I worked with a guy who was launching an app that helped people find places to buy local produce.
It was a good idea, but it was going nowhere because the copy on the landing page was all wrong. There was nothing about why local sellers should sign up or what the benefit was for local shoppers, it just talked about how great the app was.
I dived in and changed things up.
I made two clear sign up sections – one for sellers and the other for shoppers – and I wrote an email targeted at each. After 1 month people were signing up and paying an intro rate for the app.
Why am I telling you this? Because what you say and how you say it makes all the difference.
Talk to me if you need copy more alluring than an Ancient Greek Siren song.
Sometimes it’s best to write something yourself because it’s the quickest way to add personality to your content, but did you know that editing is just as important? Often overlooked, a good edit and a little rewriting is what takes to elevate your copy from a little bit dull to something your readers connect with and enjoy.
Are you ready to make your audience happy bunnies with copy that’s fresh, clean and waffle-free?
